The most popular sport in the wizarding world of Harry Potter is Quidditch. The fictional game created by British author J.K. Rowling was introduced in the book "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone", published in 1997.
A golden snitch is a small, glittering golden ball about the size of a walnut with silver wings. It is very fast and slips easily through the fingers. It makes a soft squeaking sound when it flies.
The golden ball is the most important ball of the whole match, because catching it gives the team 150 points and ends the match. However, it must not be touched by anyone other than the catcher, whose only job in the entire match is to catch it. Goldilocks is enchanted with a spell that allows her to identify the first person to touch her - in case of a disputed catch. Therefore, no one can touch Goldilocks until the match, not even the producer, who must use gloves.
